With your boots tied tight, a backpack thermos in tow and tunes on your MP3 player, you’ve got nowhere to go but up. And that’s just what you’re going to do here at Urban Buck Hunter.

Hi. I'm John McCarthy. A Bronx guy. An avid hunter. A weekend warrior. I created Urbanbuckhunter.com for people like myself. A place for hunters, fishermen, and outdoor enthusiast to gather and share their stories. I was introduced to hunting when I was 18 years old. And 40 years later, that enthusiasm never waned. It only got stronger. Today, it doesn't really matter if I harvest a deer, or not. The thrill is being out in the woods, or on the boat. And having the pleasure of sharing that with friends. So, get your pack on, find your cast-iron skillet and make your way out to the mountains or the sea. You never know what you might find!
